What did I just agree to

“It’s only after you’ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform.” — Roy T. Bennett

I have never been one to have a rigidus and dedicated fitness regime, as its never seemed to be a priority for me.  During my many years in Borden there was off and on spirts of unit weekly PT, or noon time spin class which I got behind, but as something work related ramped up that healthy lifestyle routine always ends up getting put on the back burner.   By far, up until now, weekly yoga has been the longest stretch of dedicated routine fitness I have stuck with.

Over the past two years since “work from home” became the norm in my life (In that era we called the COVID years) I have noticed that I have put on the pounds.  Something that I am not proud of, and if not curbed soon, is going to get out of control. As part of my blueprint to a new decade, one of the pillars is to cultivate a better body and mind. It’s been a bit of slow start to this one, but I know it was not going to be easy.

That said, I am proud to say I have just finished a “trial week” of F45 fitness with my good friend Becky.   Now some, maybe all of you, might think that is a giant leap from 0 to 45, and well it was a real shock to my body, as you can see from yesterday’s picture.  When she approached me with this idea, I was interested but still thought she was out of her mind crazy. What made me agree was seeing the results she has achieved since she signed up about a month ago, which made me think maybe its worth trying.  Its not easy, and nothing good in life is ever easy.  Dedication, and being persistent to improve physically and mentally is something that you need to want to do to achieve anything here.

Well, my trial week is done, and we did meet my goal of 4 mornings out of 7 to attend and give it the old collage try. Its now time to decide if I am committing to 6 months of transformation or walking away.  I may be crazy but… let’s see what I can achieve over the next six months.

I’ll see you at 535 am Monday Becky!
